RCOES

The Rice Center for Organizational Effectiveness Studies (RCOES) is a nonprofit, interdisciplinary entity at Rice University. A fundamental assumption of RCOES is that organizational effectiveness depends to a large extent on the effective utilization of human resources.

RCOES has the following objectives:

  • to promote basic and applied research on organizational effectiveness and to secure funding for this research by establishing relationships with the business community in the United States and abroad
  • to promote interactions and alliances among faculty at Rice who are concerned with issues of organizational effectiveness
  • to disseminate the findings of research on strategies to improve individual and team performance to organizations in the public and private sectors
  • to establish a global network of research partners in academic institutions

RCOES also provides consulting services to public and private organizations. By drawing on the vast expertise of its interdisciplinary faculty, the Center has the flexibility to organize teams to address any number of organizational effectiveness issues. Costs for these services are determined on an ad hoc basis.
